  1. The Universe by definition includes everything
  2. that is in existance. Most scientists believe
  3. in the BIG_BANG theory which implies that
  4. about 15,000 million years ago there was a
  5. huge explosion that was responsible for
  6. throwing out large amounts of matter that
  7. condensed later into the galaxies then the
  8. stars that we see today.

  10. It is very difficult to perceive the size of
  11. the Universe, scientist use HUBBLES_LAW, but
  12. if you can imagine that with the naked eye we
  13. can observe about 3,000 stars on a clear
  14. night, in each GALAXY there are at least
  15. 100,000 million stars, the largest telescopes
  16. can detect 100,000 million galaxies all split
  17. up by vast amounts of open space.
